Maelstorm of Sorrows

Can I escape from this strange world ?
I no longer recognize it as just.
The roles of the righteous are reversed,
and the paths lead back to cannon fodder,
even for enlightened minds.

Can I break free from this written fate,
and return to the innocence of a newborn soul?
The more I think, the more my mind collapses into a whirl.
The more I think, the more my soul is thrown
into a vortex of nonsense,
where only absurdity still manages to live.
